STATESBORO — Authorities say a student at Georgia Southern University collapsed during class and later died.
The student who died Thursday has been identified as 21-year-old Cory Wilson, a junior management major from Savannah.
Authorities say Wilson was pronounced dead at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center, and the student's cause of death was unclear Thursday evening.
University officials say counselors in the university's Counseling and Career Development Center will be available for grieving students.
Statesboro is about 50 miles northwest of Savannah.
