LAWRENCEVILLE -- If you're not popping in to watch the Aurora Theatre's latest comedy, "Bob," on its main stage, stop by the studio for a night of comedy.

This weekend, the theater is hosting its monthly nights of laughter, Funny Fridays and Saturdays. January's addition includes BlackTop Improv Group with resident emcee Debra Cole.

Established in 1997, the BlackTop Improv Group has been featured on BET, HBO and Comedy Central for its humor and quick wit. The group has also made appearances at several festivals, such as Urban Comedy Festival, Laffapalooza, Learn through Laughter and The Improv in Los Angeles.

Attendees won't just be watching the show; they are able to get involved with the evolution of the story and situations that are acted out on stage.

For more information about the comedy group, visit www.blacktopimprov.com.

Cole, host of Aurora Theatre Funny Fridays since last January, is known to Atlanta comedy enthusiasts for her wry humor and rapid-fire style. She is known to chat about everything from combating chronic dry eye to being rejected by eHarmony.

If you can make this month's shows, Funny Fridays returns March 15 and 16 with comedian Tom Simmons.
