SNELLVILLE -- A board-certified infectious disease doctor will give a speech next week on the topic of flesh-eating bacteria.
Dr. Karuna Kusan is the chairperson of the Infection Control Committee at Eastside Medical Center. The event will be held at 2 p.m. on Jan. 23 at the Snellville Senior Center at 2350 Oak Rd.
Kusan has experience in general infectious diseases, HIV and hepatitis, according to a news release.
Kusan completed medical school in India, and her post-graduate training was in anesthesiology. The vast number of challenges in the field of HIV motivated her to pursue a career in infectious diseases.
