BUFORD -- Thanks to consumer ratings and reviews posted on the website Caring.com, a Buford senior living community has earned national recognition.

Brookside Senior Living has been named a "Caring Star" by the website, which boasts it's a leading website for those caring for aging loved ones. The reviews were posted on Caring.com between Dec. 15, 2011, and Dec. 1, 2012. Brookside was given a five-star rating, the highest possible, in reviews from families and seniors.

"We are very honored that we have received this positive feedback from families about the services we offer," said Jennifer Garrison, executive director of Brookside. "We strive to always exceed our residents' expectations of care and services and this award is a reflection of just how well our staff delivers on that promise."

Brookside, located at 4450 Old Hamilton Mill Rd. in Buford, was rated among the top 1.2 percent of assisted living and Alzheimer's care facilities in the country.
