SWIM/DIVE ROUNDUP: Collins Hill, Mill Creek split dual meet

Mill Creek and Collins Hill split a swimming and diving meet last weekend.

The Hawks won the girls division 215-99, but the Collins Hill boys won their competition 180-128. Mill Creek's Lexi Sachse broke a school record with a first-place finish in diving, scoring 200.30 points on six dives.

Mill Creek also got two event wins from Andrew Kozlovski (200-yard freestyle, 1 minute, 45.27 seconds and 100 free, 48.51), Cadie Crow (200 individual medley, 2:19.98 and 100 butterfly, 1:01.49) and Alyson Carroll (50 free, 25.61 and 100 free, 57.15).

The Hawks' other first-place finishers were Madison Gibson (200 free, 2:04.28), David Sikes (diving, 122.85), Chris Powell (100 fly, 56.43), Erin Lenius (500 free, 5:35.34), Garrison Bemis (100 backstroke, 58.08), Anna Guynes (100 back, 1:03.51) and Corinne Dalley (100 breaststroke, 1:11.47).

Collins Hill got first-place finishes from Cody Bekemeyer (200 IM, 2:00.50 and 500 free, 4:43.49), Mitchell Blanchard (50 free, 22.23) and Richard Kim (100 breast, 1:03.85).

Parkview, Peachtree Ridge each win division

Parkview won the boys competition handily, 197-108, but Peachtree Ridge earned a split of last weekend's swimming and diving meet with a 165.5-148.5 victory in the girls division.

Parkview's event winners were Dillon Kasson (200 free, 1:46.85), Samuel Kim (200 IM, 2:03.37), Rory Martin (50 free, 22.25 and 100 fly, 54.23), Morgan Fleming (50 free, 24.65 and 100 free, 54.62), Ben Warren (diving, 217.90), Peter Meadows (100 free, 49.70), Jake Tillery (100 back, 59.34) and Nathan Jones (100 breast, 1:00.97).

Peachtree Ridge's first-place showings included Savannah Ruedt (200 free, 1:58.12 and 500 free, 5:13.17), Carrington BeVier (200 IM, 2:11.49), Anna Cate Miller (diving, 202.50), Haley McInerny (100 fly, 58.72 and 100 back, 1:02.37), Kent Yang (500 free, 4:55.03) and Riha Moss (100 breast, 1:08.77).

Brookwood, North swim to split

Brookwood won the girls division 172-135 and North Gwinnett won the boys competition 150.5-143.5 in a dual meet between the two swimming and diving teams last weekend.

Brookwood got wins from Rachel Muller (200 free, 1:53.69 and 500 free, 4:57.77), Alex Taylor (200 IM, 2:00.22 and 100 breast, 1:02.54), Anna Jahns (200 IM, 2:12.94 and 100 back, 1:02.09), Sarah Bruns (50 free, 26.40), Mitch Hotop (100 free, 50.00), Erin Scott (100 free, 56.41) and Sarah Frey (100 breast, 1:15.47).

North's event winners were Tomas Peribonio (200 free, 1:46.85 and 500 free, 4:43.25), Jay Cathcart (50 free, 22.72), Ryley Conner (diving, 100.25), Shannon O'Rear (diving, 150.80), Ethan Webster (100 fly, 56.02 and 100 back, 55.38) and Maggie Anderson (100 fly, 1:01.05).

Dacula, Grayson, Central battle in tri-meet

Grayson and Dacula each won a division during a tri-meet with Central Gwinnett last weekend.

Grayson won the girls division with 271 points to Dacula's 228 and Central's 60. Dacula won the boys competition with 236 points to Grayson's 221 and Central's 103.

Grayson's first-place finishers were Hope Gehle (200 free, 2:28.21), Mason McIntyre (200 IM, 2:12.05 and 500 free, 5:11.10), Kayla Harrison (50 free, 26.10 and 100 free, 57.79), Abby Davis (100 fly, 1:05.62 and 100 breast, 1:18.00), Hatton Hunter (500 free, 6:47.91) and Knox Clyburn (100 breast, 1:11.64).

Event winners for Dacula were Jacob Oertley (200 free, 1:57.95), Virginia Brinkley (200 IM, 2:32.79 and 100 back, 1:10.47), Andrew Johnson (50 free, 22.59 and 100 fly, 53.96), Sarah Moore (diving, 139.40) and Stephen Brinkley (100 free, 48.38 and 100 back, 54.88).

Central got a win from Cole DeLoatche in diving (122.05).

Duluth sweeps Norcross, Northview

Duluth's swimming and diving team won both divisions of a tri-meet with Norcross and Northview last weekend.

The Wildcats won 242-224 over Northview in the girls division (Norcross was third at 176) and edged Northview 246-232 in the boys meet (Norcross was third at 171).

Duluth got victories from Austin Goelz (200 free, 1:50.54), Brandon Neas (50 free, 23.33 and 100 free, 51.73), Brendan Eckard (diving, 257.25), Erin Hembree (diving, 216.05), Chase Adams (100 fly, 56.70), Allison Chandler (500 free, 5:27.92), J.P. Portillo (100 breast, 1:01.93) and Katie Neas (100 breast, 1:14.18).

Norcross got a first-place finish from Sarah Murphy (50 free, 25.95).
