BUFORD -- If you're looking for a way to give back to the community while spending time with your daughter, consider attending the annual Father/Daughter Valentine Dance hosted by the North Gwinnett Kiwanis Club.
The dance will be held Feb. 2 at the Legacy Lodge Hotel at Lake Lanier Islands Resort in Buford. The dress is Sunday attire and is open to daughters of all ages.
For the fifth year, the Kiwanis Club is holding the event to raise money for college scholarships and other donations back to the community. To date, their contributions total nearly $15,000.
Light refreshments, a professional photographer, and family friendly music will be provided for a night to remember.
Beginning as a small event in 2009, the Valentine Dance has become large enough to be held at the Lake Lanier Islands Resort.
After previously sold out events, the Kiwanis Club has decided to hold two dances in one night to ensure that as many people as possible can attend. The first dance will be from 6-8 p.m. and the second from 9-11 p.m.
Tickets are $40 per couple plus $10 for each additional ticket and can be purchased at www.norhtgwinnettkiwanis.com.
