Gang member given life without parole in '11 murder

LAWRENCEVILLE -- A teenaged gang member, convicted last month of killing 19-year-old Angelo Larocca in a robbery set up under the guise of a drug deal, has been sentenced to life in prison without parole.

Brandon "Stunna" Mosley, a 19-year-old member of the "ABT" gang, was found guilty last month on seven counts related to the June 2011 shooting death of Larocca. Last week, Gwinnett County Superior Court Judge Warren Davis gave him the "maximum sentence provided under the law," Assistant District Attorney Mike Morrison said.

Mosley was given life without the possibility of parole on one count of murder, life in prison to run consecutive to the murder charge on one count of armed robbery, and five more years on a single count of possession of a firearm during the commissin of a crime.

"In short, the judge's sentence ensures that Mosley will never again harm anyone on the streets of Gwinnett County," Morrison said.

According to authorities, Larocca was lured to The Columns at Paxton apartments in Liburn in June 2011, believing he would meet Mosley and Hunter Mason Davis for a drug exchange. Instead, Larocca was shot and killed by Mosley in a breezeway, where his body was discovered by a security guard shortly thereafter.

Prosecutors and police do not believe Mosley and Davis ever intended to sell any drugs.

Davis, who allegedly brokered the meeting, has yet to go to trial.

"Davis gave him the 'maximum sentence provided under the law',"

How's that? What happened to capital punishment? Why do we taxpayers have to feed, cloth, house, give him free medical and dental care for the next 70 years? Now wonder taxes are so high. Let's get the liberals out of government. Let them go to work for the ACLU.
