Robert Nkedmiche was tabbed by ESPN as the nation's No. 1 college football recruit in April. His senior year did nothing but solidify that for the Grayson defensive end.

ESPN released its final rankings of the year on Thursday and Nkemdiche was still rated No. 1.

The two-time Daily Post Defensive Player of the Year led the Rams to a second straight Region 8-AAAAAA championship as a senior. The 6-foot-5, 280-pound Nkemdiche recorded 59 tackles and five sacks on defense and rushed for 235 yards and 10 touchdowns on offense.

A former Clemson commitment, he's considering Ole Miss and LSU as his college options.

Nkemdiche was one of six Gwinnett County players named on the ESPN 300. Norcross running back Alvin Kamara was ranked No. 32, Central Gwinnett linebacker Trey Johnson (Ohio State commit) was No. 48, Mill Creek defensive tackle Kelsey Griffin (South Carolina) was ranked No. 100, Brookwood receiver Ky Prister (N.C. State) was No. 172 and North Gwinnett offensive lineman DeVondre Seymour was No. 258.
