Former stand-up comic and C-grade second banana Dax Shepard wrote, co-directed and stars in this brilliantly executed romantic comedy that poses as a muscle-car action-adventure dude road flick. Shepard and his off-screen girlfriend Kristen Bell play a California couple that must navigate his checkered past and assorted roadblocks on their way to L.A. where she is interviewing for a professors' job. Tom Arnold, Bradley Cooper and Kristin Chenoweth are among the many stand-out supporting players in one of the smartest, touching, funny, profane and oddball films of 2012.
