Gwinnett Daily Post
Highlighted by alumni bobbleheads and a commemorative logo, the Gwinnett Braves announced a series of special events and ticket options for the team's fifth season.
The Class AAA affiliate of the Atlanta Braves moved to Lawrenceville and began play in 2009 and will honor its early history during the coming season. The fifth-season celebration begins with four five-game ticket packages including games with fireworks, bobblehead giveaways, the most popular dates of the season and a slate of day games. Included in the best five games are Fourth of July and Opening Day and the fireworks games are all on Friday nights.
The bobblehead giveaways honor Gwinnett alumni now playing with the Atlanta Braves. The scheduled bobbleheads are Brandon Beachy (April 6), Freddie Freeman (May 18), Jason Heyward (June 22), Kris Medlen (July 6) and Craig Kimbrel (Aug. 10). The Freeman and Heyward bobblehead dates are also included in the best five ticket plan.
Tickets for any of the four five-game packages can be purchased by calling the G-Braves box office at 678-277-0340 or by visiting www.gwinnettbraves.com/5pack.
The new logo will be featured on souvenir cups and team apparel during the season. Under first-year manager Randy Ready, the G-Braves open the season April 4 against the Charlotte Knights at 7:05 p.m.

Y'know, I tried to write a post supporting the Braves (and I already have 20 anytime-tickets) but I couldn't think of a logical reason why the county should support a privately-owned sports franchise.
Befuddled.
