The city of Sugar Hill is preparing to welcome a new event facility on Peachtree Industrial Blvd. Ashton Gardens hosts weddings and corporate parties and is currently under construction.
The complex is being built with the ability to host multiple events at the same time. It is composed of a 4,000 square-foot chapel and a 17,000 square-foot reception and banquet hall.
While this is Ashton Gardens' first venue in the metro Atlanta area, the company is already well established in Dallas and Houston, Texas. Sugar Hill City Clerk, Jane Whittington said, "Ashton Gardens should bring a great amount of people and a greater need for more businesses such as hotels and restaurants to Peachtree Industrial Blvd."
The location was chosen because of the demographics of the area along with the input of the mayor and the council of Sugar Hill. The construction is scheduled to be completed before March 15, when the first wedding will be held. By that time it is expected that as many as 180 additional events will be booked.
Whittington said the construction is on track to be finished by the March deadline and the exterior of the building is nearly complete.
