PEACHTREE CORNERS -- On Sunday, Peachtree Corners is unveiling several additions to the growing city.
From 1 to 4 p.m., the city is opening the doors to its first city hall, which is located at 147 Technology Parkway at Suite 200 in Peachtree Corners. The official ribbon cutting ceremony is slated for 1:30 p.m.
"We would love to see the community turn out for this first event in our new space," Mayor Mike Mason said. "We've spent the last six months, since our July 1 incorporation, getting ready for this, and it's a big step for our new city."
The city's new logo and tag line, which were created by Accent Creative Group of Lawrenceville, are also going to be displayed.
"We were honored to have been selected to design Peachtree Corners' new logo," said Accent Creative President Pam Ledbetter. "We worked closely with a community advisory committee to make certain the logo was a visual representation of both the city's heritage and its future. The logo will not only appear on official city documents and marketing materials, but it will also be visible on street signs and banners."
The event will be held at the new city hall (at the address above) with light refreshments. Boy Scout Troop 1963 from Peachtree Corners will present the colors.
