Our loving Mother and devoted wife, Janet Sara Corbin Bleckley, 70, passed away Wednesday, January 2nd, at Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Janet was born in Atlanta and spent majority of her life in the Norcross- Chamblee areas. 14 years ago she and her husband, Kenneth Bleckley, moved to Monroe, Georgia. Janet and Kenneth celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 2, 2012. She was also proud of her membership in the Order of the Eastern Star of which she was a member of the Chamblee Chapter since her early twenties. Janet started her career with Cotton States Insurance Company in Atlanta. After taking several years to stay home with her children, she returned to GE Capital and later worked with Therogenics, Inc. in Buford before retiring several years ago. Janet is survived by her husband Kenneth, her two sons, Joe (43) of Alpharetta, Ken Jr. (49) of Lawrenceville, Daughter-in-law Lisa, grandchildren Mary Katherine (19) & Jack (14), her brother Claude Corbin of Stockbridge, bother Emmitt Corbin of Zebulon, and her sister Pauline Bentley of Cumming. She was preceded in death by her brother Edward Corbin. Visitation will be Saturday, January 5th 3pm-7pm at Crowell Brothers Funeral Home in Norcross.
