SUWANEE — A late afternoon crash on Interstate 85 northbound near Suwanee blocked all lanes on Friday, as firefighters extracted a person from an overturned vehicle.
The incident blocked traffic for about 45 minutes from about 4:45 p.m. until lanes were reopened at about 5:30 p.m. The incident occurred near Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road and caused a backup of nearly eight miles, DOT and Gwinnett Fire officials said.
Fire crews found the vehicle on its top when they arrived at the scene, officials said. The vehicle was stabilized and extrication tools were used to assist the person from the vehicle. The person was conscious and alert and transported to an area hospital.

There has to be something that attracts accidents at that intersection. Maybe it needs better markings or something.
