CARTERSVILLE — A Bartow County school board member is free on bond after police say she hit a teenager with her SUV in a dispute over a Walmart parking space.
Police say the unidentified 17-year-old girl was standing in a parking space Friday trying to save it for someone.
Police say the teen and 41-year-old Angela Cornett argued before Cornett hit the girl with her car. Authorities say the incident was recorded on surveillance cameras.
Cornett said that she never hit the teen and said the girl leaned against her car. A call to Cornett's house was not answered Tuesday.
The teen had a scuff mark to her knee but did not suffer any serious injuries, police said.
Cartersville is about 45 miles northwest of Atlanta.
