DULUTH -- A Berkmar High School student wanted for shoplifting was quickly halted by Taser prongs after a short-lived chase by police.
His heist included three pairs of socks from Gwinnett Place Mall and a Trio Android media player from Fry's Electronics at 3296 Commerce Ave., according to a Gwinnett County Police incident report. The suspect, Tyrall Jackson, 19, of Lawrenceville, was charged on Feb. 16 with shoplifting, possession of tools during a crime obstructing a law enforcement officer and giving false name and birth date.
The report said Jackson made multiple passes through an aisle in the media player section, then eventually unsuccessfully attempted to burn the plastic wrapping of the item with a lighter. He then put the item, worth $69.99, underneath his shirt and left the store.
When an officer arrived at the store, he asked Jackson to sit on the ground and cross his ankles, but Jackson refused, then jumped up, pushed him aggressively and fled, the report said. But Taser prongs struck Jackson in his back, and he was placed in handcuffs.
During a pat down and check for weapons, the report said Jackson had three pairs of socks stuffed inside his pants. Jackson told police that a friend stole them and asked him to hide them. Jackson admitted to police that the socks were stolen from Gwinnett Place Mall, the report said.

Hey trooper - I just reread all the posts prior to yours and can find NOONE who said he LOOKS like a punk. Everyone said he IS a punk. So where do you get your racial ideas?
Also, since no photo was provided for the other murder story how do you know the perp was white?
