Student shot at Atlanta high school

A shooting took place at a midtown Atlanta high school on Wednesday morning.

A student shot herself outside of Grady High School, causing the school to go on lockdown, several area news reports said.

Atlanta Public Schools tweeted that there are no reports of any suspects on campus, and that the gun has been confiscated.

"Still gathering all details regarding the shooting incident at Grady High School. Parents should stand by for more information," one Tweet read.

The school said they are working with Atlanta Police Department for dismissal instructions.
