The Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League announced the signing of former Brookwood standout Rennie Curran on Monday.
The 5-foot-11, 230-pound linebacker spent time in the NFL with both the Tennessee Titans and Tampa Bay Buccaneers in recent seasons. He was a third-round pick (97th overall) of the Titans in the 2010 NFL Draft.
Curran, 24, made 298 tackles in three seasons at Georgia and topped the 100-tackle mark each of his last two seasons.
"Rennie is a very athletic linebacker who will add depth and competition to a position we are already strong in," Edmonton head coach Kavis Reed said in a team release.
The CFL season begins in June and runs through November.

Leaving school early was big mistake. It good to follow your dream, but real life awaits when the dream ends. Go back to school.
