LAWRENCEVILLE -- A legislative conference committee is set to decide the fate of Georgia Gwinnett College's funding.
On Friday, state senators passed a version of the Fiscal Year 2013 budget restoring $2.7 million in supplemental funding that had been cut out of the House version.
A conference committee with leaders from both bodies was chosen to find an agreement on the final document, with Duluth Sen. David Shafer, the Senate president pro tem, among the group.
Because the budget expires in a matter of months, the cut could mean up to eight furlough days before the summer.
