NORCROSS -- After a long week, laughter is the best medicine -- and Lionheart Theatre has the cure for you.
On Saturday, OTC Comedy Troupe returns to Norcross for its Improvelution Games.
"We love performing at Lionheart Theatre -- Jason and Tanya Caldwell are wonderful to work with," said Kelley Cody-Grimm, OTC artistic director. "The Norcross audiences are so much fun, we do some of our best shows there."
The show has two teams of people improvising together to make the audience laugh as they vie for the coveted Golden Comedy Guy Award. The OTC takes suggestions from the audience and creates scenes on the spot, so no show is ever the same.
The group doesn't just play in theaters. It can also be booked to entertain at special events, bachelorette parties, showers and birthdays and can customize a show to fit any occasion.
Last year, the OTC Comedy Troupe received the Community Impact Award for Arts Ensemble or Collective from ArtWorks! Gwinnett, for its performances and OTC-TV.
This summer the group will also be performing at the Decatur Arts Festival. The troupe has headlined at Atlanta's Punchline and has performed for such diverse corporate audiences as the Governor's Summit on Customer Service, Gwinnett Medical Center, Street Smarts, Duluth Merchants Association, Solvay International and the Attachment Disorder Network to name a few.
