Coach Norman Brown's take: "Before I met Charlie Scott, every single person that I spoke to about him told me that he was a very talented player, very versatile on both ends of the court, and a great shooter and scorer. But they also told me that his athletic ability was dwarfed by his greatness as a person, his leadership on and off the court, and his will to compete. There were lofty expectations and he surpassed everyone of them because Charlie is truly a wonderful human being that shows the great qualities instilled in him by his parents, Pam and Randy. He led our team from a 3-8 record in the middle of the season to finish in second place in the region at 10-4, and an overall 12-13 record. Charlie led the team in points, steals and assists while guarding the opponents' best player on most nights."
