BUFORD -- The Oscars aren't the only awards that people are talking about this weekend.
On Monday, ArtWorks! Gwinnett hosts its Fusion Art Awards, celebrating the contributions made in the country by several residents.
At 6:30 p.m., attendees have a chance to mingle and chat in the Phillip Beard Ballroom. At 7:45 p.m., everyone will be asked to enter the theater for the awards ceremony.
The night features performances by Gwinnett artists, including the Royal Dance Academy, Herman Pennamon, Advocate Arts, Zephyr Instrumental and the Aurora Theatre.
The nominees are:
Lifetime Achievement Award: Johnnie Rowe and Judy Waters
Corporate Arts Citizen Award for Individuals: Laura Grams, Suzanne Holtzcamp and Eddie Owen
Corporate Arts Citizen Award for Organizations: Advance Auto Parts and Ultra Car Wash, Gwinnett Tech, Holtzcamp Heating and Air, Peach State Federal Credit Union, Suzanna's Kitchen
Community Impact Award for Community Partnership: Art Thru the Lens, Aurora Theatre and Georgia Gwinnett College, Barefoot in the Park, Gwinnett Plein Air Challenge, Holtzcamp Heating and Air, The Hudgens Center for the Arts, Zephyr Instrumental
Community Impact Award for Community Arts Program: Barefoot in the Park, Duluth Fine Arts League, Eddie Owen Presents, Live Arts Theatre, North Gwinnett Arts Association, Tannery Row Artist Colony
