SNELLVILLE -- Brookwood's Brahan Gamarra scored a goal with six minutes left in the second half to lift Brookwood to a 2-1 win over North Gwinnett in boys soccer Wednesday night.
Bryson Dorsey scored on an assist from Marijo Gojic in the first half to put the Broncos on top. North (1-1) tied the score right before halftime, setting up Gamarra's game-winning goal on a feed from Mitch Hotop.
Peachtree Ridge 2, Parkview 0 (OT)
SUWANEE -- After a scoreless regulation, Peachtree Ridge scored twice in overtime to defeat Parkview 2-0 Wednesday. Jordan Davis scored in the first overtime and Raul Diaz scored in the second overtime to lift the Lions (3-0) to the victory.

LILBURN -- Providence rallied from a 1-0 halftime deficit to defeat Mt. Pisgah 2-1 Wednesday night. Bokwon Lee and Collin Montrief scored second-half goals for the Storm.

DOUGLASVILLE -- Apalachee fell to New Manchester 57-40 in the first round of the Class AAAAA playoffs Wednesday night. Cameron Blakley had 20 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Wildcats (18-10). Kamar Baldwin had 11 points, four steals and six rebounds for Apalachee.

DECATUR -- Brookwood improved to 3-0 on the season with a 4-1 win over St. Pius Wednesday. Drew Wendel, Zach Jennings and Ryan Pridgeon won in the singles matches. David Brown and Christian Gochnauer won in doubles for the Broncos.

LILBURN -- Parkview defeated Providence Christian 4-1 Wednesday night. Calvin Gratz and Dustin Bowie were singles winners for the Panthers. Takuto Osawa and Christ Whitlock along with Sam Frihart and Nick Button swept the doubles for Parkview. Jon North won his single match for the Storm.

HOSCHTON -- Mill Creek defeated Wesleyan 4-1 Wednesday to improve to 4-0 on the season. Madison Hahn, Allison Weaver and Abbi Jordan were singles winners for the Hawks. The doubles tandem of Laurne Atkinson and Natalie Martinez also won their match. The winner for Wesleyan was the doubles team of Katie McLaughlin and Katie Van Laeke.

OAKWOOD -- Collins Hill defeated West Hall 5-0 Wednesday night. Lexi Owensby, Amanda Gautreaux and Lindsay Doktor won their singles matches for the Eagles (3-1). Rocqsanna Malek and Prachi Patel along with Dani Lunceford and Jamie Lunceford were winners in doubles.

CUMMING -- Ali Cole opened Duluth's season by scoring seven goals and assisting on four others to help the Wildcats to a 21-12 victory over North Forsyth Wednesday. Linda Cisneros scored four goals and teammate Rebecca Graham had three goals for Duluth.

NORCROSS -- Riley Fields scored four goals to help lead Parkview to a 12-11 win over Norcross Wednesday. Kelly Spevacek and Trucmy Dao scored three and two goals respectively for the Panthers (1-1, 1-0).

HOSCHTON -- Mill Creek opened its season with a 15-6 win over Sprayberry Wednesday. Maddie Beck and Tori Windom scored three times for the Hawks (1-0). Maddie Peak and Emily Hallberg each had two goals for Mill Creek.

NORCROSS -- Wesleyan dropped a 11-8 decision to Kennesaw Mountain Wednesday night. Courtney O'Leary scored four goals and Emily Farrow contributed a strong defensive effort for the Wolves (0-1).

GAINESVILLE -- Wesleyan opened its lacrosse season with a 11-6 win over Riverside Military Acadamy Wednesday. Scoring multiple goals for the Wolves were Miles Laughlin, Matt Zimmerman, Jake Miller and Josh Garrard.
Mountain View 4, Lanier 1
LAWRENCEVILLE -- Mountain View scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth to break open a tie game and defeat Lanier 4-1 Wednesday. Garry Gwaltney pitched two innings in relief to pick up the win. Starter Beau Blair went five innings and fanned nine Longhorns. Alex Dederus has two hits to lead the Bears (1-0).
South Gwinnett 6, Wesleyan 5
NORCROSS -- South Gwinnett was down 5-0 in the sixth inning but rallied to defeat Wesleyan 6-5 Wednesday night. Chad Smith pitched four innings in relief to pick up the win. Smith also knocked in two runs and Montrell Marshall and Morgan Miller each had two hits for the Comets. Jahmai Jones collected two hits and homered for the Wolves, while Johnny Richards had three hits for Wesleyan.
Johns Creek 6, Norcross 4
JOHNS CREEK -- Norcross dropped its season opener 6-4 to Johns Creek Wednesday night. Joseph Wilber led the Blue Devils with three hits and an RBI. Zach Shirah added two hits and a RBI and Trevor Craport had a hit and an RBI for Norcross (0-1).
Winder-Barrow 6, Dacula 3
WINDER -- Dacula dropped its season opener 6-3 to Winder-Barrow Wednesday night. Tyler Crumley collected three hits and an RBI for the Falcons (0-1). Austin Collins and Matt Nigh each had an RBI for Dacula.
South Cobb 14, Berkmar 1
LILBURN -- South Cobb defeated Berkmar 14-1 Wednesday night. Jacob Glass and Brendon Perez pitched well for the Patriots. Perez also doubled and drove in the Berkmar run.
Buford 12, Hebron Christian 2
BUFORD -- Buford opened its season with a 12-2, five-inning victory over Hebron on Wednesday night. Josh Bryan pitched two innings to get the win for the Wolves (1-0). Conner Bennett also pitched two innings, striking out six Lions. Bryan helped his own cause with two hits, Russell Klein had four RBIs and Patrick Burnett scored three runs for Buford.
