Bomb threat evacuates Gwinnett high school April 24, 2014

NORCROSS HAMRICK, JESSE BUD Jesse Bud Hamrick, 85, of Norcross, GA, died February 19, 2013. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 21st, at Crowell Brothers Peachtree Chapel Funeral Home in Norcross. Burial will follow at Peachtree Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 20th, at the funeral home. Mr. Hamrick was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from Atlantic Steel. He was a faithful Christian, member of Norcross First Baptist Church and former member of the Lions Club. He loved traveling, gardening, playing bingo and being with his family. A loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he is survived by his wife of 65 years, Annie Pearl Hamrick of Norcross; son, Jeff (Andrea) Hamrick of Duluth; daughters, Joyce (Curtis) Franklin of Lawrenceville, Janice (Terry) Bowie of Norcross, Ann (Tim) Hodnett of Snellville, and Cindy (Scottie Coggins) Hamrick of Lawrenceville; sisters, Annette Webb and Martha Jo Haines; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; countless nieces and nephews; and Kirk Dunlap, who is considered a son and special friend.
