Bomb threat evacuates Gwinnett high school April 24, 2014

LAWRENCEVILLE EDWARDS, ADA BEA Ada Bea Grizzle Edwards of the Oakland Community in Lawrenceville, Georgia, passed away February 17, 2013. Ada was born in Franklin County, Georgia, November 5, 1922, but lived most of her life in Lawrenceville. She married the love of her life, Ralph, in 1940, losing him to lymphoma in 1987. Ada was a homemaker, enjoying all kinds of needlework and gardening. She was very talented at anything she undertook. She dedicated her life to her family, church and friends. In addition to Ralph, those preceding her in death were her parents, James and Lillie Burch Grizzle; sisters, Mamie Grizzle Shephard and Bessie Grizzle McGaha; brothers, Hoyle, Boyd, Paul, Verlin, Virgil, and Thomas Grizzle. Surviving Ada are her children, Doug and Linda Edwards of Lilburn and Sharon and Jim Richardson of Snellville; brothers, Edward Grizzle of Royston, Frank Grizzle of Carnesville and Morris Grizzle of Harlem; grandchildren, Lisa and Joe Peterka and David and Aaren Richardson; great grand-children, Lauren, Lindsey and Joey Peterka; a host of nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Bill Head Funeral Home, Lilburn/Tucker Chapel with Rev. James Shelton and Rev. Hoyt Huff, Jr. officiating. Interment will be at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Duluth. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be appreciated to the ministries of New Hope Christian Church, 1982 Old Norcross Road, or The First Christian Church of Lawrenceville, 3495 Sugarloaf Parkway, both at Lawrenceville, GA 30044.
