LAWRENCEVILLE -- 12Stone Church is partnering with Wesley Seminary of Indiana Wesleyan University to offer a Master of Arts in Ministry degree beginning in June.
The two-year, fully accredited, graduate level ministry degree program is provided through the John C. Maxwell Leadership Center, a state-of-the-art leadership center founded by 12Stone Church.
The master's degree program offers 36 hours of core and ministry leadership courses led by seminary professors and 12Stone pastors. Courses are designed for adults seeking growth in personal or ministry leadership skills.
Chief Financial Officer Norwood Davis said: "We are honored to join those already offering graduate level education in Gwinnett and to support Partnership Gwinnett 2.0 goals to expand postsecondary institutions growth and capacity, enhance talent development programs and foster next-generation leadership capacity in Gwinnett."
The program provides applicants who have earned a bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university with the opportunity to work closely with a group of fellow ministry leaders and mentors on actual church projects.
"Our desire is to present a relevant model that is practical, innovative and flexible and promotes a theologically sound approach to leadership development," 12Stone Church Senior Pastor Kevin Myers said.
The master's degree is completed almost entirely online, with a one-week summer elective of personal and spiritual development to be held at 12Stone Church.
Applications are currently accepted through April 15. The first summer session begins June 5 through 10 at 12Stone Church.
