Martin Platzer and Kay Palacko of Hartwell announce the engagement of their daughter, Katherine Palacko Platzer of Duluth, to Charles DeHart Heyen of Atlanta, son of Priscilla Peccolo-Vrzal of Atlanta, and Cameron Heyen of Fayetteville.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Beverly and Michael Palacko and the late Edith and Hans Platzer. She is a 2005 graduate of Duluth High School and a 2010 graduate of the University of Georgia, where she received a bachelor's degree in interior design. She is employed with Office Creations in Suwanee as a project manager.
The future groom is the grandson of Bonnie Corsgren of Knoxville, Tenn., the late Jacque Heyen and the late Mary Jane and Charles Peccolo. He is a 2005 graduate of Tucker High School and a 2010 graduate of Georgia College and State University, where he received a bachelor's degree in accounting. He is employed with Stryker Orthopaedics of Atlanta as an analyst.
The wedding is planned for April 13 in Atlanta.
