Lilburn CID logo unveiled

LILBURN -- Gwinnett's newest Community Improvement District has a new logo.

Lilburn CID officials said the new design was created to provide a more distinctive presentation speaking to the group's goals, replacing a former logo that originated with the CID's history as a part of the Lilburn Community Partnership.

"We wanted an image and identity that speaks to our commitment to redevelopment and revitalization for the greater Lilburn area," Executive Director Gerald McDowell said. "We believe that this logo will help us to better communicate the CID's vision for our stakeholders and community."

Gwinnett County resident Shanna Weaver, a freelance graphic designer who works as an instructional designer for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, won the CID's logo design contest. She was awarded a $500 check from the business organization."We greatly appreciate all of the submissions that we received from talented artists and designers," McDowell said. "Expect to see our new logo appearing in a variety of applications in the very near future."

If you stare at this logo without blinking for four hours or so, you can almost attain a Zen-like understanding of how it communicates the CID's vision for their stakeholders and community.

It looks like it protrays running in a never ending circle ...

I'm glad they grabbed it before the Mayor of the city of Snellville did ..

Next time lilburn updates its logo, it should be the Target store logo. There are three Walmarts triangulating lilburn. It's time they step up with a Target superstore somewhere in the city.
