Harry W. Caraway, Sr. age 81, of Flowery Branch, passed away Monday, February 11, 2013. Funeral Services will be held at 11AM, Friday, February 15, 2013 in the Lawrenceville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home. Rev. Kate Lancaster, Rev. Tony Brock and Minister Chris Singleton will officiate. Burial will be held 9 AM, Monday, February 18, 2013 at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton. He was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church. Mr. Caraway was a retired SSGT with the United States Airforce. He was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam War and served his country with 23 years of service. He then went to work for the US Postal service and spent over 20 years working in the International Mail Division at the Atlanta Airport before retirement. His love for the Lord took him all over the country where he served as an Evangelist for several years. He was preceded in death by his Parents: Dewey C. & Flossie B. Caraway; Sisters: Margaret E. Smith and Sybil Louise Shoemaker; Grandson: Jason Rumble. Survived by Wife: Jorene B. Caraway of Flowery Branch; Children: Cynthis Patricia Caraway Newcomb, Gregory William Caraway, Barry Leo Caraway, Jeffery Donald Caraway, Harry William Caraway, Jr., Doris Summerlin, Jackie Rumble, Carol Ralston, and Cathy Schrage, “Sam” Caraway; Sister: Barbara Sandra Watts of Destin, FL; 24 grandchildren; 8 Great Grandchildren. The Family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Tim Stewart Funeral Home, 300 Simonton Road, SW, Lawrenceville, GA, 30046. 770-962-3100.
