Coach Rik Moore's take: "Tyler made an immediate impression on all the coaches his freshman year. He was very raw with his running ability but he always raced anyone around him. Since then he has taken his running ability to new levels at many distances, but he has not lost his fire to race other athletes for place position, especially in his best event the 800-meter run. Tyler works very hard every day but always seems to enjoy the training and getting ready for his next race. After a huge sophomore season, Tyler is training hard to improve his finish at last year's state meet."
