Brahan is one of only three players that I've coached at Brookwood that started as a freshman. He was our leader in assists his freshman and sophomore seasons. I would expect him to lead us in the category as a junior this year. Brahan has incredible one v. one attacking skills, field vision and work rate. If he is dispossessed of the ball in the midfield, he will work hard to win in back immediately. He was chosen to be one of our captains this season because of his incredible work rate. He is a joy to coach and to watch play the game."

--Scored 27 goals with six assists as a sophomore
--Had 19 goals and 12 assists her freshman season
Coach Troy Bendickson's take: "Rachel is one of the most, if not the most, competitive players I have ever coached. She does not only desire to win matches, she wants to win every competitive exercise in training as well. She is driven to succeed. And her game is built to allow her to succeed. Rachel plays at an extremely high pace. I said it last year, she defines what it means to be a striker, which is she puts the ball in the back to the net, period. She redefined our single season goal scoring record as a junior with 47 goals."

She plays a fearless brand of soccer, challenging for every ball in the middle and winning most. She has terrific touch to go along with her aggressive play, distributing the ball appropriately and maturely almost every time. If a ball is coming from out of our own offensive third, she is right there to put it back into our offensive third. She is suited to move the ball in transition from the back to the front as well. On top of all these contributions, Kayla scored 15 goals as a junior."

Coach Brent Leitsch's take: Lauren is an extremely gifted player who has excelled for us for the prior three seasons. She shows up each day to practice looking to get better and help her teammates get better as well. She has the respect of her teammates not because of great of a player she is, but how hard and committed she is to this team. We are looking forward to a great year from Lauren as she helps us in difficult Region 7-AAAAAA."

Coach Troy Bendickson's take: "Taylor is an incredibly versatile player. She plays total football. She is very instinctive on the field. She is a great team and one-on-one defender, but we use her going forward because of her lethal left foot, whether it is putting the ball on frame from distance, or more often placing the ball at our strikers' feet and in spaces to create goal scoring opportunities. Taylor led our team last year with 18 assists, which is second all time."

So....does Gwinnett County not have any schools playing soccer south of GA 20?
Really, a county with over 15+ public and private high schools and both the girls and the boys Super Six have multiple players from the SAME high schools? And its not just Soccer; take a look at Softball, Volleyball, Swimming. I think there is talent to be found at all our High Schools...not just ones in the North side of the county.

And, staying true to form, take a look at the Super Six for Track and Field this year.
At least this time, there were no schools duplicated in the girl's Super Six.
But the majority of the 12 were from the northern side of the county.
