HIAWASSEE — Early defensive pressure created plenty of opportunities for Hebron and the Lions took advantage, rolling to a 54-30 win the Region 8-A tournament playoff game Monday.
With the win, Hebron advances to play Lakeview on Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. at Towns County.
The pressure rattled Prince Avenue to the tune of an 18 point halftime deficit, turnovers and loose balls.
“It was really a collective effort,” Hebron coach Will Cantrell said. “Not just one guy stood out defensively. The style we play is dependent on each other.”
Cory Johnson and Tyler Matthews led Hebron (11-15) with 13 points and Tyler Skidge scored 11.
“Our boys played extremely well tonight,” Cantrell said. “From the very tip we executed very, very well.”
