The New York Cosmos will make their return to the North American Soccer League on Aug. 3, highlighting the NASL's fall season schedule released Monday.
The Atlanta Silverbacks will play the Cosmos for the first time Sept. 7 in New York. The Cosmos will travel to Atlanta on Nov. 2 for the final game of the season.
"We're extremely excited to announce the fall schedule under our new format and await the return of one of the greatest soccer legacies ever," NASL Commissioner Bill Peterson said in a news release.
Atlanta's fall season begins Aug. 3 in Minnesota, and the team will return home for the first time in the second half Aug. 10 for a matchup against the Carolina RailHawks.
The previously announced spring season will begin for the Silverbacks on April 13 when they host the Fort Lauderdale Strikers at 7:30 p.m.
