LAWRENCEVILLE -- If you're on a budget but need to fill up your children's closets, there's an event for you.

Kidsignments, Gwinnett's largest biannual consignment sale, returns to the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds starting Tuesday.

More than 1,400 vendors sell gently used clothes, toys, strollers, books and more at very low prices, all of which are inspected by a handful of volunteers. Anything stained, soiled, ripped or damaged is sent back to the seller -- and recently recalled items are never put on the shelves for the safety of the buyers.

Between the two warehouses at the fairgrounds -- clothes and large toys -- prices vary from $0.75 to $10 on clothes and up to $150 for large wooden and plastic toys. There are thousands of bargain books for a youngster's library ranging from $1 to $3.50.

There are no children, strollers, infants or carriers allowed into the sale until after 1 p.m. Tuesday due to the large crowds.

The doors are open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday. The sale ends Saturday. For more information, visit www.kidsignments.com.
