LAWRENCEVILLE -- There is still time to purchase tickets for the Aurora Theatre's annual Barbara Awards, which give recognition to last season's actors with the most public votes for their past performances. The ceremony is held Monday night.
"Ann-Carol (Pence) and I try to make sure that the patrons, sponsors and artists who come here to share their talents feel appreciated," Aurora's Producing Artistic Director Anthony Rodriguez said. "The great party that board member Amanda Martin throws every year gives all of us a chance to show appreciation for each other."
This year the Lawrenceville theater is honoring Clyde and Sandra Strickland, who have supported the Aurora year after year.
The night starts at 7 p.m. with a red carpet entrance and reception with food catered by Celebrate the Occasion, plus complimentary champagne. The awards ceremony kicks off at 8 p.m. with musical performances by Pence accompanied by her band and -- of course -- a night of awards.
A cash bar is available throughout the evening.
Tickets are $40 per person, $75 per couple and the price includes a $25 per person tax-deductible donation. To purchase tickets, visit www.auroratheatre.com.
