Jasmine Hassell had 15 points and 10 rebounds to lead the host Bulldogs past the Tigers.
Shacobia Barbee added 14 points and eight rebounds, Jasmine James scored 13 points and Khaalidah Miller chipped in 10 to help Georgia (20-3, 8-2 SEC) extend its winning streak to four games and improve to 13-1 at home. The Bulldogs earned their 20th win for the 28th time under coach Andy Landers, who is three shy of his 900th career victory.
Hasina Muhammad had 20 points and seven rebounds for Auburn (13-10, 2-8), which fell to 2-7 on the road and lost for the eighth time in nine games. Buford graduate Blanche Alverson had 16 points, including three 3-pointers, to go with seven rebounds and five assists, and Peyton Davis scored 10 points. Georgia, which never trailed in the game despite shooting 29.7 percent from the field, jumped out to a 21-9 lead and held a 34-22 advantage at halftime. Auburn produced a 10-4 run and tied it at 51 on Alverson's free throw with 4:39 to play, then tied it at 53 on Davis' layup with 3:41 left.
Auburn committed 21 turnovers, including 13 in the first half. Georgia improved to 25-16 in the series, including 15-5 in Athens.
