Bob Mackay
Dr. Bob MacKay, age 63, of Concord Township, Ohio, formerly of Lilburn, passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2013. He was born May 22, 1949, in Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada. Dr. MacKay was the pastor of Trinity Baptist Church in Mentor, OH. He loved mentoring young pastors and trained many in his three pastorates. Dr. Bob was an avid reader and enjoyed running and biking. Survivors are his wife of 40 years, Brenda Buice MacKay of Concord Township, OH; daughter and son-in-law, Mandy and Sean Chapman of Lawrenceville, GA; grandchildren, Mack, Levi and Jack Chapman; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Lawson Barkhouse; mother, Ruby MacKay. He was preceded in death by his father, Hiram MacKay. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 10, 2013 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM at Bill Head Funeral Home, Lilburn/Tucker Chapel. A graveside service will be held immediately following at Lilburn Memorial Gardens in Lilburn, GA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Trinity Baptist Church, 9225 Johnnycake Ridge Road, Mentor, OH 44060, specified for the Dr. Bob MacKay legacy fund.
