LOGANVILLE — Even with LSU and Kentucky making hard charges in the final days, David Kamara faxed his letter of intent to Ole Miss with his classmate Robert Nkemdiche on Wednesday morning right after Nkemdiche made his announcement on television.
“It was close,” Kamara said, but added the chance to play with his classmate at Grayson helped sway his choice.
“I chose Ole Miss to play with my best friend and Denzel (Nkemdiche), of course,” Kamara said. “I just like the culture there.”
It's a culture the projected corner back hopes to impact as much as join. As a senior at Grayson, Kamara knows about building a winner and isn't familiar with losing after dropping just two games over the past two seasons.
“I want to bring a winning atmosphere to Ole Miss, like we did here,” Kamara said.
