Always a standout in the classroom, Peter Whiteneck took his football to another level last season. The Greater Atlanta Christian senior found a college where he can utilize both of those strengths well.
Whiteneck, who sports a 3.97 GPA and is interested in studying medicine, will get an Ivy League education and will play for a traditionally strong football team in Penn, which has won 16 Ivy League titles, including one last season.
"It's awesome for him," GAC head coach Tim Hardy said of Whiteneck's decision. "Peter had a fantastic year for us. He really worked and really developed as a player. … He's a motivated student and he's going to a tremendous football program with a great tradition."
Whiteneck set GAC season records for catches (57), receiving yards (1,012) and receiving touchdowns (13) as a senior.
