NORCROSS -- Warrants have been issued for a Norcross man after a young girl, now 7 years old, alleged he made her "kiss his private part."
According to Gwinnett County police reports, the young girl, a student at a Norcross elementary school, recently told her mother that she "had a secret" to share. That secret, the mother told authorities, was that last January a family acquaintance forced her daughter, then 6 years old, to "kiss his private part."
The woman said that on the night in question, she dropped her daughter off at her sister's boyfriend's apartment in Norcross while she worked an overnight shift. The boyfriend and suspect -- identified as 29-year-old Walter Argueta-Hernandez -- was reportedly at the home along with another unidentified male.
"Argueta told the victim to 'kiss his private parts and that they were clean,'" the incident report said. "The victim told her mother that Argueta kissed the other man's 'private parts' while she was kissing his."
Arrest warrants filed Jan. 31 charge Argueta-Hernandez with child molestation and aggravated sodomy of a minor less than 10 years of age. As of Tuesday afternoon, Gwinnett County Detention Center records showed he was not in custody.
In Georgia, the aggravated sodomy charge alone carries a recommended minimum sentence of 25 years in prison, if convicted.
Jail records show Argueta-Hernandez was arrested in Gwinnett three separate times between 2001 and 2003, twice on burglary charges and once for possession of marijuana. ARgueta-Hernandez's last known address was an apartment at 1100 Indian Trail-Lilburn Road.
