LILBURN -- One person was injured and smoke and fire damage was reported from a fire at a Lilburn house on Monday afternoon.
A 911 call to the 700 block of Stacey Court brought Gwinnett Firefighters to the scene just before 2 p.m., and the incident was under control by 2:14 p.m. The injured person, found on the lower level where the fire began, sustained injuries from high heat and smoke, but was conscious and breathing, Gwinnett Fire Lt. Colin Rhoden said. That person was transported to a hospital.
Another person was checked and released at the scene, Rhoden said.
Along with Gwinnett Fire investigators, Lilburn Police officers were on the scene of the incident, but the cause was not yet determined, Rhoden said.
