NEW ORLEANS — Wesleyan grad Chad Hall is on the San Francisco 49ers' active roster for Sunday's Super Bowl 47 against the Baltimore Ravens at the Superdome.
Hall is trying to join an elite group of Gwinnett County grads that have won Super Bowls, which includes Duluth's George Rogers (Washington Redskins), Brookwood's Jason Elam (Denver Broncos), Parkview's Jon Stinchcomb (New Orleans Saints) and Buford's Tim Wansley (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) and P.K. Sam (New England Patriots).
Hall was signed by the 49ers in December and was placed on the practice squad after receiver Kyle Williams tore his ACL. Hall made his 49er debut in the NFC Championship game against the Atlanta Falcons. He was in one for one play when the ball was thrown his way, but was tipped and incomplete.
Hall was a free agent acquisition out of Air Force by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2010 where he was used as a receiver and kick returner for two years.
