North falls in title game of Rotary Roundball Classic

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – North Gwinnett couldn’t hold an 11-point built early in the second half and lost 59-51 to Goose Creek (S.C.) in the championship game of the Rotary Roundball Classic on Monday night.

T.J. Howard led North (13-2) with 17 points. Malik Carter scored 14 and Ahmad Caver added 12 for points the Bulldogs.

Dantez Bennamon had 26 points for Goose Creek (10-1) and was named MVP of the tournament. Goose Creek reached the South Carolina state championship game last season.
