Ann Craft Ellison, age 80, of Lawrenceville, GA passed away Thursday, December 26, 2013.
Ann was born in West Palm Beach, FL. to Jack Gordon Craft, Jr. and Rebecca Lawton.
Ann passed away peacefully at her apartment in Lawrenceville, GA after a long battle with COPD. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rebecca Lisa Ellison Cole of Chapel Hill, NC and grandson Christopher Aaron Chinnes. She is survived by her sons and their wives, Patrick and Karen Ellison of Lawrenceville, GA, and Dr. John and Polly Ellison of Cambridge, MA.
She is also survived by her sister, Jackie Kelly and her husband Jim of Columbia, SC along with seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, residing in North Carolina, Florida and Tennessee.
Ann graduated from UGA and received her Masters Degree in Education from Georgia State.
Ann retired from teaching business education at Berkmar High School after enjoying over thirty years as an educator in the Gwinnett County School System. She was a life member of the Gwinnett County Retired Educators Association. She loved animals; she had several hummingbird feeders and took care of any stray dog or cat that she found before moving from her home to her apartment.
A Memorial Service Honoring Anns Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Tom M. Wages Lawrenceville Chapel. Her favorite music and hymns will be played with some inspirational readings. Condolences may be sent or viewed at www.wagesfuneralhome.com
