GAC, Peachtree Ridge boys hoops teams win in Arby's Classic

BRISTOL, Tenn. – Troy Morrison had 16 points, five steals and four assists as the unbeaten Greater Atlanta Christian boys basketball team reached Tuesday’s title game in the Arby’s Classic with a 46-42 semifinal victory over Oak Ridge (Tenn.) on Monday night.

The Spartans will play fellow Georgia school Milton for the championship after the Eagles defeated reigning Tennessee state champion Christ Presbyterian Academy, snapping a long winning streak.

Isaiah Wilkins had 10 points and seven rebounds for the Spartans (13-0), while Justin Lewis contributed eight rebounds and six points.

GAC led 26-20 at halftime, but Oak Ridge cut the lead to 34-32 going into the fourth quarter.

Peachtree Ridge, which had lost in the quarterfinals, advanced to the fifth-place game by defeating the Christ School (N.C.) 57-53 behind 18 points and five assists from Aaron Augustin.

Amir Warnock scored 10 points and Romello White grabbed 10 rebounds for the Lions, which led 39-35 going into the fourth quarter.
