Gwinnett trash collection to be delayed by holidays

With mid-week holidays two weeks in a row, government officials want residents of unincorporated Gwinnett to know that trash service will be collected under a different schedule.

While government offices — except for those required for the comfort and safety of residents — will be closed both Tuesday and Wednesday for the Christmas holiday, the trash pick-up will remain as scheduled on Christmas eve.

Those scheduled for Wednesday collection and the rest of the week will be delayed by one day.

The following week, the government is scheduled to be closed on Wednesday for the New Year’s Day holiday.

Trash collection will also be delayed, with no collections on Wednesday and each subsequent day delayed until the next.
