DULUTH — An undercover investigation by the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office has resulted in the arrest of an Atlanta man accused of selling personal and financial information of numerous individuals.
During the course of the week-long investigation, deputies said Anthony Farula Jr., 39, sold the identities of both televangelist Creflo Augusta Dollar and Pamela Ann Witherspoon, vice president of Universal Music Group, to an undercover deputy. Farula was arrested Tuesday at The Holiday Inn Express at 3670 Shackelford Road in Duluth.
According to authorities, further investigation led to the discovery of the suspect’s stash of personal and financial documents belonging to 114 different individuals from across the United States. The items were recovered at the Carlton Country Inn & Suites at 3530 Breckinridge Blvd. in Duluth.
Farula, who is also wanted in DeKalb County, is charged with two felony counts of identity theft and remains at the Gwinnett County Jail without bond. The investigation continues as victims are being notified.
