A longtime Gwinnett County Public Schools administrator has been named acting principal at Collins Hill High School.
Ronni Ford, a former Meadowcreek High principal from 1998-2002, and acting principal at Duluth High at this time last year, began her work at Collins Hill on Friday as she replaced the retiring Glenn McFall, who led the school since 2002.
Ford, a principal mentor, has also worked as executive director of academic achievement and executive director for school improvement among several positions at the district office from 2002-09.
“My goal is to ensure that the school continues to serve students at high levels and runs efficiently during this transitional period,” Ford wrote in a letter to parents and community members.
Ford joined GCPS in 1973 as a math teacher at Berkmar High.
Along with Collins Hill High, Grayson High also has an opening for a new principal. David Hopson announced his retirement, effective Jan. 31, earlier this month.
