Aaron Bovos tapped for Texas job

Gwinnett’s deputy county administrator and chief financial officer has left for a job in Texas.

Aaron Bovos, who served as the county director of finance before becoming deputy county administrator in 2010, has been named the chief financial officer for the city of Ft. Worth.

There, Bovos will help lead the 16th largest city in the United States, which has about 6,000 employees and a $1.5 billion budget.

“Aaron contributed a great deal to the organization,” County Administrator Glen Stephens said. “As we move forward, I am confident we will find a qualified candidate to fill the vacancy.”
