PREP ROUNDUP: Norcross girls edge Mountain View in OT

NORCROSS — Norcross stayed undefeated in Region 7-AAAAAA play, but barely, as it beat Mountain View 59-54 in overtime on Tuesday.

The game was tied up at 45-45 after four quarters before the Blue Devils outscored the Bears 14-9 in overtime.

Norcross (6-1, 3-0) was led by Kolby Meeks with 12 points, while Bri Williams had 10 points and 10 assists. Sierra Butler had nine points and 10 rebounds.

Mountain View (5-3, 2-1) was led by Aneysa Williams with 22 points, while Iceis Walker had 19.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Duluth 50, Collins Hill 30

DULUTH — Duluth moved to 5-2 on the year and 2-1 in the region with a 50-30 win over Collins Hill on Tuesday.

Alyah McGriff led Duluth with 20 points, while Endia Banks had 15.

Brittany Stowers led the Eagles with 12 points and 11 rebounds, while Marissa Bayer had eight points. Madison McAfee also contributed six rebounds and two steals.

Archer 59, Brookwood 15

LAWRENCEVILLE — Archer improved to 7-0 on the year and 4-0 in the region with a 59-25 win over Brookwood on Tuesday.

Amber Skidgel led all scorers with 12 points, while Lindsey Marchese had 10. Cii Cii Marseille had 11 rebounds, Autumn Newby had eight rebounds and four steals, and Madison Newby had six steals and six assists.

North 41, Meadowcreek 24

NORCROSS — North moved to 3-5 on the year and 2-2 in the region with a 41-24 win over Meadowcreek on Tuesday.

North was led by Joshlyn Belcher with 17 points, while Emily Toomer had 11.

Meadowcreek was led by Ashley Okoki with 12 points.

SNELLVILLE — Grayson moved to 3-2 on the year and 1-2 in the region with a 37-35 win over South Gwinnett on Tuesday.

Shakara Burton led the team with 11 points and 13 steals, while Lika Bah had eight points and five rebounds.

Shiloh 41, Berkmar 35

LILBURN — Shiloh moved to 3-1 on the year with a 41-35 win over Berkmar on Tuesday.

Racquel Cranston had 16 points, four rebounds and three steals for Shiloh, while Uche Ibebunjo had eight points and 11 rebounds. Emani Bell also contributed seven points and six rebounds.

MT. AIRY — Mill Creek moved to 5-2 on the year and 2-2 in the region with a 67-38 win over Habersham Central on Tuesday.

Meredith Schulte led Mill Creek with 21 points, while Madison Phillips had 10. Shannon McCrosson also had seven assists.

BUFORD — Buford moved to 4-1 on the year and 1-0 in the region with a 63-27 win over East Hall on Tuesday.

LILBURN — Josh Okogie hit the game-winning 3-pointer to give Shiloh a 53-50 win over Berkmar on Tuesday.

Okogie led the Generals (3-1, 2-0) with 18 points, while Emir Basic had 13 and Kareem Brewton had 12.

Berkmar was led by Jonathan Sanks with 18 points.

DULUTH — Duluth moved to 3-4 on the year and 2-1 in the region with a 65-53 win over Collins Hill on Tuesday.

Zaynah Robinson led Duluth with 21 points, while Bryce Wooten had 17. Eric Hamilton contributed 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Collins Hill was led by Jaylen Mitchell with 11 points, while Devin Mitchell had nine.

GAC dominates Westminster

NORCROSS — GAC moved to 14-8 in duals with a 68-9 win over Westminster on Tuesday.

Picking up pins for the Spartans were Justin van Leeuwen (106), Hunter Hemmings (113), Ian Politz (120), Wyatt Vaughn (126), Emeritus Morris (138), Carter Clinebell (145), Hunter McKerman (160) and Mitchell Shea (220). Kyle Politz (132) also picked up a technical fall win.
